By Phillip Corry KAMPALA City Council (KCC) football club has cleared the air on the future of their veteran coach, David Otti. According to the club’s secretary Fred Ogene, the seasoned coach is remaining in charge of the club’s football affairs for the next season. “Otti is still in charge of the club and is going no where,” Ogene said. “He has a contract with the club and he is going to honour it.” It was reported that the experienced tactician was being wooed by Kakungulu Cup holders Express for him to take over from Godfrey Nyola. Ogene was elusive about the contract KCC has with Otti. “We have a contract with him, but I would not like to discuss about it.” It was reported that the Kampala giant side was to replace Otti with former KCC player Sam Ssimbwa who apparently is coach of relegated side Military Police. “Who told you that we have changed our coach? Who gave you these news,” Ogene said. Otti steered KCC to second position in the Nile Special Super League in his first season at Lugogo, enabling them a berth in next season’s Abiola CAF Cup. KCC has a tradition of appointing and sacking coaches during the season or after a season. ends
