By Lillian Nalumansi The Chairman of Dawda, Hasmukh Dawda, has donated an assortment of items to abandoned children at Nsambya Babies Home. Dawda gave the children different flavours of splash drinks, Britannia biscuits, milk and clothes. Sister Mary Nakyanzi, the children’s matron, said the home currently has 30 children with their youngest child aged one month and the oldest seven years. “Some of these children are abandoned by their mothers in churches, hospitals or the roadside. They are brought to us by the Police, individuals and probation officers,” she said. “Since most of them do not have mothers to breastfeed them, they keep falling sick. We receive most of them in very poor health,” Nakyanzi added.
