By James Mujuni Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner Kalule Sengo has warned Movement cadres against harassing supporters of presidential aspirant Col. (Rtd) Dr. Kiiza Besigye. He said doing so would decampaign and lead to Museveni's loss of votes. Kalule Sengo told The New Vision in an interview yesterday that Movement cadres should be friendly to rivals to win votes for Museveni. " We are seasoned politicians who should not revert to intimidation because we shall not stop people from persuading others to join them," he added. Besigye supporters in Rukungiri last week alleged harassment and intimidation from State security. However, Kalule said the allegations were fabricated. He said he would restrain his assistant, Mr. Mugisha Muhwezi, who was accused by the Besigye camp of being behind the alleged harassment. " Mugisha is trying to do his job but has a misfortune of being misunderstood. But in future if we feel he is going out of his way we shall restrain him," Kalule said. Ends.
