By Jude Etyang KIIRA Road Police are holding a woman for allegedly shaving the forehead of a neighbour's child and cutting the child's body under mysterious circumstances. Divisional CID Officer, Moses Otwili alleges that Justine Nabulumba of Kiwatule central zone had, on two ocassions, locked three-year-old Rose Tezita in her house and cut her on different parts of the body. She later warned the child that she would be beaten if she told anyone. It is still unknown where Nabulumba took the hair, nor the motive behind the bizarre act. Otwili said he highly suspects the act to be witccraft-related. "A witch doctor might have demanded for these things in order to do a certain task. Perhaps she decided to get the things from the neighbour's child," he said. Tezita does not go to school and lives with her uncle Nviri in Kiwatule Nabulumba. Nviri said that Tezita's mother paid a visit on Monday and noticed that Tezita's hair had been freshly shaven. When asked, Tezita reticently told them that Nabulumba had done it. It was then, according to Nviri, they discovered that a healing wound on Tezita's thigh was the result of razor blade cutting by Nabulumba on a much earlier date. Present at the Police station was Private Francis Mbazira a soldier based in the Congo. He wore a visibly angry face. He said, "I want to know why the kid was cut and where the hair is. This kid could die any time." Police have arrested Nabulumba. They are hunting for a "strange" woman who Tezita says was present on both ocassions when she was shaved and cut. Ends.
