THE second edition of the Alliance Francaise volleyball tournament has been scheduled for December 3 at Kampala Rugby Football Club in Lugogo.

By Samson Opus THE second edition of the Alliance Francaise volleyball tournament has been scheduled for December 3 at Kampala Rugby Football Club in Lugogo. Alliance Francaise deputy director David Behal said yesterday 12 teams have already entered for the friendly tournament. The event is one of the friendly sporting events organised by the French Cultural Centre, and meant to bring people together. The New Vision are defending champions of the event inaugurated last year. Teams registered so far are two from the Belgian and French Embassies , Barclays Bank, Nile Breweries, Alliance Francaise, the Russian Embassy and The New Vision. According to Behal, a maximum of 16 teams will compete. He said each team should comprise at least three female players. "No registered volleyball player is allowed," said Behal. Ends.
