By Leo Kabunga HASSAN Mubiru was yesterday the first Nile Special Super league player to pick and return forms, indicating he is moving from champions SC Villa to rivals Express next season. He was joined by Jamil Kyambadde, who also stunned KCC supporters with a move to his former club Express. The transfer-of-players-exercise started in earnest yesterday. Mubiru's surprise move beat Villa's normally alert intelligence system and left the officials wondering what went wrong with the league's second top scorer at 23 goals. SC Villa secretary Edward Luyimbazi said: "Let him go because we do not have sh20m to offer." Villa's James Odoch and KCC's Kefa Kisala, also picked forms. The Federation of Uganda Football Associations returning officer Sulaiman Zziwa said the transfers were peaceful so far. In an Express move, dubbed "the Figo transfer" by fans, Mubiru and Hakim Magumba were wooed by top Express officials reportedly for sh3m. Magumba declined the offer. Mubiru's move, is seen by many as a coup similar to Barcelona's Luis Figo moving to arch-rivals Real Madrid. Others who picked forms and are believed to be joining Heroes are Julius Okocha and J. Mundwa of Malaba FC. Ends.
