A TOTAL of 570 University graduates have been short-listed by the Public Service Commission for interviews to fill 91 vacancies in government ministries.

A TOTAL of 570 University graduates have been short-listed by the Public Service Commission for interviews to fill 91 vacancies in government ministries. Candidates have been grouped into two groups. The first group will do interviews on December 2 while interviews for the the second group are due December 12 according to a list seen by The New Vision recently. Two hundred seventy candidates have been shortlisted under the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 11 posts of Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (C/ASP)-General duties, 12 for 4 posts of C/ASP (Legal) and 22 candidates for a post of Agricultural Officer, and Prisons department officer. Twenty two were short-listed for interviews for 3 posts of Specialised Safety Inspectors under the gender ministry. Seven are to compete for the post of General Training Inspector and six for the post of General Prosecution Inspector. The list indicates that, Ronaldley Miti was the only one short listed for 2 posts of Occupational Hygienist and Fredrick Nsubuga Mambasi for Occupational Physician in the Gender Ministry. Seventy candidates are to compete for eight vacancies as engineers in the agriculture ministry, 18 for one position of Statistician in the education ministry and 14 for the post of a Geographer, in the Ministry of Health. Twenty six are to compete for the post of a Quality Control Analyst and 16 for a Hydrologist (Planning), in the water lands ministry. Ends.
