From ex Hotel Rena to Half London Pub

Former Hotel Rena on Namirembe Road is now bustling with an influx of clients. Apparently not because of its new sparkling white paint, new name (Kampala Regency Hotel) or a change in management. Scouts have it that the checking in policy has been changed to suit the anonymity of the clientele. Patrons say the former owner Hajji Ssemakula was against the idea of randy couples checking in UNLESS they showed up armed with legal marriage certificates...in a lodge? Half London Pub in Kabalagala has come up with a Carnivore-Nairobi style, where they serve all sorts of game meat ranging from crocodile, zebra, hippo and the like. In the meantime, the Carnivore of Nairobi will soon take over the swanky Swampies on Ggaba Road. Initially they had intended to take over the Rock Garden but apparently found it a bit on the small side. This means that the Half London folks are in for great competition. Ends.
