Wanume said although the patients had since responded to treatment dispensed to patients suffering from diarrhoea and dysentery, the hospital authority had decided to study them as they waited for the results. "Since this is a strange epidemic, we could not ignore the benefit of doubt although the patients had responded to the treatment," he added. However, he said one of the patients who recovered fast had been discharged on Saturday. The patients were admitted to Jinja hospital on December 7 on suspicion that they had Ebola because they had diarrhoea mixed with blood. Ends.
