Thief confesses, promises pay

By Umar Nsubuga A food kiosk owner was shocked when a young man broke into her place on Christmas day and ate all the chicken she had prepared. This happened at Kisaasi village, Kampala. The woman said that after preparing the food and chicken, she had gone home to have a rest. However, on her return she realised that the chicken pot was missing. "It did not take me long to realise that it had been eaten up by someone because some bones had been left behind the kiosk," she said. Suspicion fell on a young man who had been seen walking near the kiosk. A team was immediately sent out to look for him. He was nabbed later in the evening. Sensing he had no way out, he confessed he had eaten the chicken. He asked for mercy, saying he would pay up later. Ends.
