THE Uganda Olympic Committee will next month resume meetings for the London 2012 Olympics.

The programme starts on April 4 with a meeting between officials from the visa section of the Games organising committee, the British High Commission and UOC.

UOC president Rogers Ddungu confirmed that they will host the first meeting at the committee’s Lugogo office on April 4.

“We want to address all matters to do with visas,” explained Ddungu, who will consequently meet officials from government, National Council of Sports and local federations.

A recent meeting named a team to draw a road map for the Games. These included Ddungu himself, National Council of Sports assistant general secretary Nicholas Muramagi and the respective table tennis and volleyball heads, Dennis Galabuzi and Sadiq Nasiwu. Archery, athletics, boxing, badminton, basketball, canoeing, cycling, soccer, handball, hockey, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, tae-kwon-do, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling are the disciplines tentatively listed for the Uganda team.
