Today: Zone V All Africa Nations Qualifiers
AFTER four years of non appearance on the regional scene, Team Uganda is looking at making an impact at the Zone V All Africa Nations Qualifiers.
Action is set to start at Kigali’s Amahoro Stadium today.
“We are ready to perform to our very best this time round and we shall give all the teams a run for their money,†said head coach Tom Mutebi.
Team Uganda is up against hosts Rwanda, Kenya and Burundi.
Last minute exits by Tanzania, Somalia, Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea and Djibouti mean that Uganda has to win at least two games to qualify for the Africa championship. The event will also serve as qualifiers for the All Africa Games later this year.
