THE Uganda Law Reform Commission needs sh3b to review the over 400 laws. The commission chairperson, Prof. Joseph Kakoza, said the laws have not been reviewed since 1964.

He explained that unless there are up to date laws, the judiciary risks making irreversible mistakes by using archaic laws.
During the same breakfast held at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, deputy attorney general Freddie Ruhindi said the laws need to be reviewed regularly to address the fast changing times, citing cyber crime.
