KCC FC will miss three key players when they face Bunamwaya but that has not shaken the Lugogo side’s resolve to regain the Ecobank Uganda Super league lead, writes James Bakama.

Mattia Lule’s side will be without playmaker Brian Majwega, Jimmy Kakooza and Ceaser Sapeo.
Majwega is recovering from typhoid while Kakooza and Sapeo have physical injuries.

The trio forms the dynamo that drives KCC but coach Lule yesterday still sounded confident.

“We respect them as defending champions. I have however improvised to cater for the missing trio. I can assure we shall be going for three points.”

KCC and URA at 35 points each top the 14 team standings though the tax collectors who have played a game more than Lule’s side lead on superior goal difference.

URA will host Villa in another fixture that has all the markings of a thriller. URA will besides the race for the top spot, also be seeking a morale boosting result after losing to lowly Utoda in their last game.

Villa has since the arrival of coach Srdjan Zivojnov late last year been on a steady rise. Zivojnov, a strong believer of the attacking game, has lifted the Jogoos from the bottom half to third position.

Gulu tactician Leo Adraa is confident his side can pull off a surprise against army side Simba.
“If the referee is fair, don’t rule out a surprise,” warned Adraa. Adraa insists that they are yet to win a match largely because of bad officiation.

He cited their last match. “We outplayed Villa; they only emerged towards the end to get the winner.”
