IT was a coming together of Kampala’s young fashionistas, burgeoning socialites and celebrities at the Addicted to Fashion do at Boda Boda, Garden City last Saturday.

Navio, Jackie Chandiru, Gloria Wavamunno, Rachel K, a pregnant Cindy, Judith Heard, Susan Ochola of the Arab Money fame, Meddie Ssentogo (Kampala’s cash king), Toniks and Seanice Kacungira were some of the celebrities at the big fashion night out.

The “Addicted to Fashion” party is the creation of E’lyt Magazine, a fashion publication. The turn out was great and the fashion even better.

The ladies were sexy and over-the-top glam, although most seemed to be in competition for shortest hemline while the gentlemen were sharp and suave, showcasing the latest trends in men’s style; from military jackets to blazers, frayed and skinny jeans, and the cardigan and vest were the must-have accessories.

There were some nightmares that needed a fashion wake-up call but the biggest drawback of the night, by far, was the MCs, comedian Patrick Idringi (Salvado) and MC Kats, who were totally out of their league.

These two totally sucked the energy out of the event with their tasteless jokes and babblings about anything but the reason we were there.
