THE Police in Kabarole district are holding a 25-year-old man over defilement.
The western regional Police spokesperson, Bashir Bakari, identified the suspect as Gilbert Aine, a resident of Kyatambara trading centre, Rutete sub-county in Kabarole district.
Aine is suspected to have defiled a 14-year-old girl in a bush, where she had gone to collect firewood.
Bakari said Aine and another unidentified man who is on the run, found two girls in the bush and chased them.
Unfortunately, one of them fell down and Aine defiled her.
