UGANDA'S biggest multi-media group, the Vision Group, has decided to re-organise Vision Voice 94.8 FM, its English radio station based in Kampala.

The move is intended to give the management a chance to rethink the best way to serve the radio’s audience and advertisers better, Vision Group management said yesterday.

The station will be re-launched in two months, in a more compelling way and under a new brand. In the meantime, starting today, the station will play world class music non-stop.

The station went on air in November 2007 as an infotainment radio, designed to complement Uganda’s leading daily newspaper New Vision, by offering readers a more interactive platform.

“With a group full of leading media platforms, newspapers, TV and radio stations, it may be easy to ignore the weak member of the family for a while,” the group’s chief executive officer Robert Kabushenga said.

“We owe it to our shareholders to continuously improve and excel in everything that we do,” he added. Kabushenga thanked the station’s advertisers and listeners for their support over the past three years.
