EXPRESS and SC Villa played to barren draw in the Ecobank Uganda Super League at Nakivubo yesterday.
The result had no impact on the standings of the two sides on the 14-team competition whose 2010-11 season is in its final bend.
Villa remained in sixth position with 38 points while Express is a place behind them with 34 points with one match left. In the stands last evening was former Express coach Dragan Popadic. He is here in search of a coaching assignment.
Participants of an ongoing UOC football coaching course attended the match as part of their lessons. The league continues today with Police hosting KCC at Namboole.
MEANWHILE Bruno Mugooda writes that Bul Bidco coach Richard Makumbi has cautioned officials to handle their second leg super league qualification playoff match with CRO FC without bias. The two sides meet at Walukuba ground today.
Makumbi recalled that during the first leg, they were made to play at Bugema ground, 4km away from the Mbale Municipal stadium where the game was originally set to be played.
“But we are ready for battle at our ground. If they scored two goals at their ground, we shall hit them four,†vowed Makumbi. CRO won the tie 2-0.
Iganga MC FC travel to Lira for another qualifier against Boroboro.
