Ten ministers without constituencies they represent in Parliament have this morning been sworn in as ex-officials.

Eleven ministers without constituencies they represent in Parliament have this morning been sworn in as ex-officios.
This is meant to enable them fully participate in the transaction of Parliament business.
The President can appoint any Ugandan a minister outside Member of Parliament.
Ministers sworn in as ex-officials by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga include; the first deputy premier Eriya Kategeya, Maria Kiwanuka (finance), Christine Andoa (health), Ruhakana Rugunda (ICT) and Ephraim Kamuntu (tourism).
State ministers in this category are; Richard Nduhuura (health), Agnes Akiror (tourism), James Muende (industry), Jeje Odongo (defence), Simon D’ujang (energy ) and James Baba (internal affairs).
