All Africa Games qualifier June 24:
Kenya v Uganda

U-23 coach George Ssimwogerere will go for an all out attack against Kenya when the two sides meet in an All Africa Games qualifier in Nairobi on June 25.

The 10th edition of the games is due in Maputo, Mozambique late August.

“We have no excuse but to qualify. What we need to do is kill off the opponents resistance in Nairobi with at least a draw from there. That’s why our emphasis will mainly be on the attack line,” Ssimwogerere explained yesterday.

Uganda Kobs are looking forward to qualifying for the Games for the first time since 1994. Uganda beat Tanzania to advance to the second round while Kenya got a bye after Eritrea withdrew from the Zone V qualifier at the eleventh hour.

In that respect, former SC Villa and Express forward Geoffrey Kizito has been included as the only new face in the Kobs side that has been summoned to start training for the final qualifying hurdle.

Ssimwogerere insisted that Kizito, who turns out for Vietnam’s Huyed Hue FC will add value to the team that starts training today at Wankulukuku. They will move to the residential camp in Kavumba a week to the Nairobi encounter.

“We are going to play away and that is why we opted to use the ground at Wankulukuku,” Ssimwogerere explained.
Despite a 4-1 defeat to Eritrea in the first leg, Kenya made the next round after Eritrea withdrew.
