HERMAN Mutaawe skipped a practice round yesterday but reckons he still has what it takes to capture the top prize in the professional event of the Tororo Golf Open that tees off today.

Kampala-based Mutaawe, who has of recent enjoyed good form, opted to travel to Tororo this morning and take to the course on arrival. The professionals will compete for sh4m.

“Nowadays I don’t practice on upcountry courses. It’s costly to travel days before the tournament. I will stick to my usual practice at Kitante as it has worked for me. I know the layout of the Tororo course so well though I am not sure about the current condition of course,” Mutaawe stated.

The professionals, like their amateur counterparts, will compete for two days in the tournament sponsored by Tororo Cement.
