COMICAL East African kickboxing champion Moses Golola has made a verbal impression in Kampala but Sudanese champion Abdull Qadir Rahim is bent on humiliating the chatty Ugandan at Hotel Africana on July1.

Rahim, who takes on Golola for the vacant middleweight World Kickboxing Federation (Africa) title, is due in Kampala four days before the fight in a bid to acclimatise.

He is expected to enjoy a hero’s welcome by a large Sudanese community living in Kampala.

Rahim is already aware of the pomp this fight has generated and the popularity that Golola enjoys and promises to shock him in front of his home crowd.

“I know he is a good fighter and will have so many people supporting him but am coming for the title and nothing will stop me,” Rahim said in an email circulated to the Ugandan media.

Rahim will train at the Hotel Africana gym while Golola is getting set for the contest a few metres away at the Centenary Park based Life Fitness centre.

Golola has reportedly stepped up his training under coaches Patrick Lihanda and Abdul Nasser.

The fight will be preceded by eight under card bouts and spiced up with entertainment by artistes Bobi Wine, GNL, Jamal, Vamposs and MUN G among others.
