YAH, you wake up tired and beaten — another dawn, another stressful day, another Monday! The week has just begun, the month is as fresh as a new leaf, and the year is just midway.

You drag your aching body out of bed, your eyes still closed like you never slept at all, yet you have to hit the road again, endure the early morning drizzle to get to work on time!

We all do experience it — fatigue — stress, sometimes bordering on depression, from our daily work routine. But some jobs are more damn stressful; can drive you crazy, while others fall short of throwing you into that dreaded state of total madness.

Yet we have to work because we have to survive. Today, in our ongoing series ‘Jobs that drive you mad’, we explore another job that can make you a possible candidate for, or even a resident of that mental hospital in your neighbourhood – the anti-riot police officer. Read about the life, the conditions and the possible consequences you are likely to face as an anti-riot cop.

In our Fab Food, we bring you the sweet side of that bitter leaf, the aloe vera, and why you need it in your backyard.

Also read about the woes of one woman whose husband abandoned her after their baby developed a strange swelling on the lip that is still baffling medics; the bone infection that could render your child permanently immobile; the dangers the common baby spit-up could cause your child if not properly handled, the frog jumps, that costless exercise you could do in the confines of your sitting room and the beneficial exercise to relieve your aching back. Have a good read.
