WITH the Victoria Cup out of reach now having lost to the Zimbabwe Sables last weekend, Rugby Cranes coach Yayiro Kasasa has shifted focus to the Elgon Cup in which he will face off with Kenya for the first leg in Nairobi this Saturday.

The Tri-nations (Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe) Victoria Cup also doubles as the Elgon Cup (Uganda and Kenya).

Kasasa will return to N’gong Road in pursuit of Uganda’s second Elgon Cup title with a sole purpose of restoring the country’s glory that is fast diminishing with each passing year.

Uganda won the Elgon Cup in 2006 and Kasasa travels to Nairobi seeking to avenge defeats to Kenya in Nairobi in the past three seasons.

“We are fit and ready to win in Kenya. We shall put everything behind us and do our best,” said Kasasa.
