Latifa Nalukenge, a.k.a Bad Black, always has a way of taking centre stage. The money girl threw her 22nd birthday, which she dubbed Black Gal Party and Champagne Showers on Wednesday night at Club Rouge.

It was an invite only party, dress code black and there was an open bar. By 8:30pm the club was full, although a short circuit blacked out the building and everybody was ordered out for about three hours.

At the gate, bouncers were rough, beating up guests and even destroyed journalists’ cameras. Many, who went out for fresh air were denied re-entry, which often ended in a fight and Police was called in to restore order. Others, who were not wearing black, were denied entry.

However, they too started a fight when they saw other people being allowed in even when they were not wearing black. In the club too, there was a lot of drama. Sylvia Owori, who designed the birthday girl’s dress, arrived at the club before Black and lost her cool after being made to wait. “I am bigger than Black! I can’t wait for her.

I have been the fashion industry for 13 years!” She said as she stormed out. Bebe Cool, who came with his wife, also quarrelled when he was given just one envelope.

All singers who performed would go to shake Black’s hand at her table except Jose Chameleone who refused, saying it was Black supposed to come and shake his hand. Meddie Ssentongo, Black’s alleged boyfriend, was conspicuously missing.
