SHARON Keith Gubamwoyo, a first year student at Kyambogo University confessed she never thought she would ever meet her favourite stand-up comedian, Patrick “Salvador” Idringi of the Crackers. The two met at Boda Boda Bar and Restaurant atop Garden City recently. When she saw him, she almost blacked out. She told Duncan Kushaba all about.

Duncan: Hey Sharon, should I call you that or Keith?
Sharon: Any will do, I am a free soul.
What was that about? I mean the freezing bit.
I hoped you would explain it me, I am sure you have seen this happen before your eyes.

Yes I have but not like this, you look a little bit more ‘amplified’ than the others I have seen.
Oh yeah? But truth be told, I just did not believe it was the real Idringi I see on TV. You know, he just appeared in my face and he was unbelievably real. Something covered my face and phew, I went blind!

Are you sure you went blind? Because I saw you glower instead
Okay fine, I did not literally go blind but honestly something came over me I did not know what it was. I could not believe it would be possible that I would talk to him and he responds the way he did. Oh my God, my Idringi is such a darling! When he hugged me, I felt my heart palpitate unstoppably.

Wow! How did you take control of your pulsating heart?
You see, being a big girl really helps. Somehow, I gathered all my lost confidence from I do not know where and all of a sudden I was back to my usual Keith. Then, he held me close all the time. I felt safe.

Nice. Do you like him that much?
Yes I do, in case you must know.
It is my job to make you tell us what we readers want to know. Now, tell me, I saw you blush. Did he hit on you?

He is a nice guy and so funny that even if he was hitting on me, I just would not notice. You know my stomach is still hurting because I have never laughed this hard. I wonder how he comes up with these jokes and the way he crafts them is so hilarious that even if you were a mean chick, he would crack you up.

What was he joking about?
That man jokes about anything in life. He joked about the trees, the food we were eating, the seats, oh my God, he even joked about me.
Ahaaaaa! That is the bit I want to hear about.

You are something else Duncan. Fine, he joked about my beauty and how excited I was. Apart from the joking bit, I found out that he is actually a serious guy. He told me he is an engineer at MTN and that shocked me a little. Because, one has to be extra bright to do what he does.

He told me he loves chilling at home with his family when he is not working. He also told me that Alex Muhangi, the brown Munyankole comedian, is his best friend and that he could share almost every secret with him.

Did you ask him whether he was single?
Yes I did. And yes he is very single but please do not ask me if I tried to lure him.
Did you?
See, you just did. I won’t answer that, I am sorry.

You do not have to, honey. What was the highlight of the whole thing for you?
There were actually many, but my best moment was definitely the food. It tasted really good and complemented by the funniest lines I have heard in my entire boring life.

Oh, there was also the meeting. The first sight was magical I think considering how I felt deep inside. I am never going to forget Patrick; he is the kind of guy I would date without asking for advice from my girls.

You did not ask about my worst moment but I will tell you anyway; it was the goodbye hug. It hurt.
Hey! Stop with the lovey-dovey talk and sign out already. I am sure you got the guy’s number.

Yes I have but it is not the same. Blitz, I don’t know how to thank you. You just got me my new best friend. Ciao.
