Wow, it was another stunning performance by our girl Caroline Nabulime as she quavered the crowd with her vocals and great cultural dance skills as she performed on Sunday night to prove that she was in control. Even Ian could not hide his emotional side!

The show that is hosted by Gaetano Kaggwa and the voluptuous Eve D’Souza kicked off at 8:00pm. Msechu hit the stage first with an Indian tune called Habibi which he sucked the soul out of. He was such a disappointment that he flatted all over the song and it sounded like a cat mewing in the cold.

Alpha just made it worse when he tried to create his own rendition of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry. He screamed through it and there is no way both the above should get back in the top three.

It went from worse to annoying when Ngangalito hit the stage with Wyre’s Chuki, a song he did justice two years ago at the same competition. Surely, the brother has totally lost touch with his vocals. It was sheer slaughtering of a beautiful song.

Amileena showed up with a well-delivered lullaby in Ndawo Yami, a hit song by South African diva Zamajobe. This girl can really sing and what is stimulating about this girl is that she has a body to die for and boy, she can dance.

Kenya’s world music flag bearer Atemi could not hide her appreciation as she, Ian and Joey gave her a standing ovation. Davis’ tepid performance of Bryan Adam’s Heaven though seemed like things were about to get better.

Hemedy is quite a character who would do anything for a miniature attention, and he did it again. With his signature umbrella, Rayban shades and well treated hair, the Tanzanian lad lit the crowd with God knows why, a rock version of Nelly’s Just A Dream.

True, the brother cannot sing but we have to give it to him for he just did the best job he could on that song. It was such an interesting performance to see. At that moment it seemed like the acts were arranged in a way that the worst go first and the best later.

You should have watched what Caroline did!
When I heard that our girl was coming next with Annet Nandujja’s song Katonda, and knowing the Nabulime of Season Three, I just knew it was going down.

She was the true representation of the Buganda culture on that stage and boy, you had to love Uganda that night. The vocals were the best I have ever heard her deliver, her fingers on the drum were sheer magic. It felt like Nandujja and the Planets in the house.

She did not only makes us proud but the whole East African cultural music lovers. So people let us vote even harder. Just type Tusker 1 and send to 8009 to vote our girl and Tusker 2 to 8009 to vote Davis.
