Kampala is drawn in Group A of the tournament geared at promoting women soccer in the country.
The champions will have a stiff challenge in the second edition of the event that comes a fortnight after the men’s version that was held in Tororo. Northern region is among the hot contenders expected to give the champions a run for their money.
Northern is drawn together with Kampala in Group B in the championship to be held at Buhinga Stadium. The contest in Group B will have Western, West Nile and Buganda vying for honours in the preliminary stage.
The championship that concludes on Friday precedes the FUFA general assembly that convenes in Fort Portal town on Saturday.
