A man from Kamuli district who pleaded guilty to defiling a seven-year-old girl has been sentenced to12 years in prison at Kirinya prisons in Jinja district.

A man from Kamuli district who pleaded guilty to defiling a seven-year-old girl has been sentenced to12 years in prison at Kirinya prisons in Jinja district.
Justice Dan Akiiki Kiiza sentenced George Bajje at the Jinja High Court on Monday.
Court heard that Bajje, 48, of Bulondo village in Kagulu sub-county committed the offence on June 23, 2008 at the girl’s parents’ home.
Prosecution, led by Vicky Nalukenge, said on the fateful day, at around 1:00pm, Bajje went to buy local brew, at the home of the girl’s parents.
While there, the girl’s parents who deal in local brew instructed her to attend to Bajje.
Prosecution told court that as the girl attended to Bajje, he asked her to escort him to the bathroom, where he defiled her.
