EDITOR: I wish to congratulate the executive director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Jennifer Musisi, for the bold decision to evict vendors from the streets of Kampala.

EDITOR: I wish to congratulate the executive director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Jennifer Musisi, for the bold decision to evict vendors from the streets of Kampala.

They had become a menace and caused a lot of congestion in the city. All walkways and pavements were occupied by vendors. I wish Musisi could do the same with encroachers on the swampy areas of Kalerwe and Bwaise.

All structures in wetlands should be demolished to protect the environment and the lives of people in these areas. All key stakeholders in KCCA should support Musisi to get rid of the menace of the new and old taxi parks and boda bodas.

There is need for adequate parking space and managing traffic jam in order to modernise the city. Musisi should also explain why the Kawempe-Mpererwe and Kalerwe-Ttula roads are impassable!
