2.00pm
FUFA and USL officials have left Lugogo in a surprisingly calm mood after submitting their grievances to NCS chairman technical committee Charles Egou.

Their meeting was at one time inturrupted by call from the Ugandan vice-president Edward Ssekandi. The two parties are set to meet the VP later today.

1.40pm
FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa and Uganda Super League (USL) chairman Kavuma Kabenge stepped out of the meeting at 1:35pm and expressed optimism that their differences would be resolved amicably.

“We hope all this will be resolved by Friday. Meanwhile we shall continue with the league,” a hitherto enraged Kabenge, calmly told journalists.

Mulindwa said that FUFA submission to NCS was in the spirit of promoting the game.
“For us we want the league to be played under proper regulations that govern the game and once USL adheres to the rules we have no problem working with them,” Mulindwa said before he drove off.

He was followed by his Competitions Committee secretary Moses Magogo and Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson riding in the same car.

Jinja Declaration Committee chairman Richard Omongole was left behind facing the NCS committee.

12.30pm
Jinja Declaration Committee chairman Richard Omongole has been asked to stay out of a FUFA-USL arbitration meeting for a while.

The decision to keep Omongole out was reached after USL chairman Kavuma Kabenge objected to his presence.

Omongole will be allowed back into the meeting after both FUFA and USL have finished their submissions to the mediator--NCS.

Earlier on the meeting had degenerated into shouting match following Omongol’s late arrival.

The warring officials were overheard shouting in the spacious Oasis hall and moments later Mutenda walked out before returning inside shortly after.

By 12:00noon the meeting had broken up into three factions—FUFA, USL and NCS officials could be seen consulting.

Omongole remained hanging outside in the company of eager journalists as he waits to be called back in.

FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa and his Uganda Super League (USL) chairman Kavuma Kabenge have yielded to a National Council of Sports (NCS) directive to resolve their differences amicably.

Mulindwa and Kabenge are currently holding closed door talks mediated by NCS at Oasisi Club at Lugogo.

Mulindwa came along with his Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson, Competition secretary Moses Magogo and Legal Officer Alex Luganda.

Kabenge showed up with his CEO Jimmy Segawa and USL influential board members Fred Muwema and John Mutenda.

Mulindwa arrived in a sleek white Lexus VX at 10:10am and walked past Watson, Magogo and Mutendi who were engaged in deep conversation as a tabloid photo-journalist clicked away.

NCS general secretary Jasper Aliogaweesa and his officials Charles Egou and Sam Walusimbi are in the same meeting. Journalists are waiting outside for the outcome of the meeting.

FUFA and USL are at loggerheads over the management of the Bell Uganda Super League.

The federation suspended USL’s authority to run the league but they have gone ahead to stage league games.

FUFA intends to discipline teams that participated in the league last Friday while USL has initiated criminal charges against top FUFA officials.
