Omulangira Suuna has been around for a long time. But even then, OS, as he is fondly known, had never held a successful concert like last Friday’s Love Yo at Club Obligatto.

OS had postponed it from July since it coincided with Ronald Mayinja’s. But again it ended up coinciding with Wilson Bugembe’s.

So, critics had predicted a lacklustre turn-up for OS, but they were wrong – he had such a big crowd.

Several artistes, some not on the evening’s line-up, turned up to perform.

King Michael, Mega Dee, Eddy Kenzo and the Big Talent Crew, Tuff B, Eddy Yawe, Sweet Kid, Back to Life, the entire Afrigo Band – were all there.

The emcee, Bukedde FM’s Bills Butoddene got overwhelmed and asked each to perform one song to give room to others.

OS, clad in white and accompanied by five queen dancers, got on stage at about 11:20pm – he was pleasantly surprised by the mammoth crowd. Then he launched into Mamacita, his 2009 chartbuster before going back-to-back with a number of his hits, climaxing with Love Yo.

OS introduced his parents, thanked everyone for turning up and ended the show shortly after midnight.
