SEWAGE is dangerously flowing all over Old Kampala! The residents do not care nor does the National Water and Sewerage Corporation!
SEWAGE is dangerously flowing all over Old Kampala! The residents do not care nor does the National Water and Sewerage Corporation!
Every junction or manhole is overflowing with sewage because the system built in the colonial days has never been rehabilitated.
If cholera were to strike today, Old Kampala residents wound not miss a fair share of it. I am fed up and I am planning to have an art exhibition about this filthy scenario.
Visit Old Kampala Police station. It is in a pathetic state especially where food is prepared from. The open-air kitchen is near the overflowing toilet and the beans and posho are prepared by prisoners.
It is interesting that what the Police officers do best is controlling riots when their own backyard is rotting away! It is time for Afande Kale Kaiyura to declare a new war on hygiene in the Police force.
Tuswala Ssebo! It should be remembered that Kampala and Uganda in general is visited by many foreigners. What image to we portray if the capital city is in such a filthy state?
