Mbabazi meets Emirates counterpart

The Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, has met his United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart and ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. <br>

The Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, has met his United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart and ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

During yesterday’s meeting at the Emirates Tower, the two leaders focused on strengthening bilateral relations and how to turn them into investment opportunities for each other.

They also discussed investment in agro-processing and development of the oil industry, according to a release from Mbabazi’s office.

The talks were attended by Mohammed bin Ali Al Abbar, director general of the Dubai Department of Economic Development and proprietor of the Dubai-based Burji Khalifa under the Emaar Properties Ltd.

Mbabazi asked His Highness Sheikh Maktoum to encourage the business community in the region to invest in Uganda.

Mbabazi is on a four-day visit of the country while marketing investment opportunities in Uganda.

Apart from his wife, Jacqueline, his entourage includes the chairman of the Uganda Investment Authority, Patrick Bitature and Haji Habib Kagimu, a renowned entrepreneur.
