BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

RENOVATION OF GOVERNMENT OFFICE IN LIRA
Procurement Reference Number: OP/WRKS/2011-12/00006

1. The Office of the President has secured funds from the GOU Development Budget and has allocated part of the funds towards the Renovation of the Office in Lira.

2. The Office of the President now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Renovation of the Office in Lira.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Office of the President and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 7(a) from 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m local time between the December 20, 2011 and January 19, 2012.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given below in No. 7(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UShs.100,000/=. The method of payment will be by a bank payment advice obtained from the Cash Office during working hours.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address given below in No. 7(a) before 02:00 p.m. local time by January 19, 2012. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ushs.2,500,000/= (Uganda shillings Two million Five hundred thousand only)
No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address given below in No. 7(b) at 02.30 p.m. on January 19, 2012.

(b) Address of Bid Opening: Office of the President, Parliamentary Building, 3rd floor, Cabinet Library. The Office of the President is not bound to accept the lowest bid.
