UNMISS LIQUIDATION TEAM

SALE OF PROPERTY
IN JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN

1. UNMIS Liquidation Team (ULT) will conduct a sale of surplus equipment to the general public. This sale will be conducted as a sealed bid exercise.

2. Items to be sold consist of but are not limited to the following categories, some of which will be sold as individual items, and some of which will be sold in lots:

(a) Sea Containers 20FT

(b) Electronic and multimedia equipment [such as: Television Sets, Digital Projectors, ID Printer, Camera photo, Sony, Test bench for electronic equipment]

(c) Engineering Equipment [such as: Tents, Prefab Containers (various types), Water Storage (soft bladder), Kitchen
Equipment, Water pump, Planer powered, Electric panels’ distribution [Cannibalized], Scale [heavy Capacity]

(d) Office Equipment [such as, Refrigerator, Washing Machine]

(e) Office Furniture [such as: Desks, Tables, Chairs, Filing Cabinets, Storage Cabinets, Storage Racks, Water Dispenser]

(f) Used Batteries [Dry Cell, Wet cell, from Electronics & Vehicles]

(g) Vehicles [Cannibalized] Light Weight (used and some involved in accidents) [such as: Toyota Mini Bus with a capacity of Up to 10 Passengers), Toyota 4 Runners, Toyota Hilux , Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrols, Truck sewage, Sewage Tank]


(h) Scrap Metal

(i) Used Tyres, Oil & Water Filter

(j) Generators [From 20 KVA to 500 KVA + Electrical Materials]

3. Items will be sold on “as-are, where-are” basis. There is no warranty of any kind as to the condition or suitability or fitness for any item.

4. The place of sale is UNMISS HQs’ yard, Tomping Site near Juba Airport in Juba, South Sudan.

5. Prospective purchasers may view the items at UNMISS HQs on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 November 2011, from
10 am to 4 pm. The payable duty and other taxes if applicable shall be determined by the government of South Sudan,
Customs Office and will be in additional to the quoted sale prices.

6. Sealed bids (price offered exclusive of duty and taxes) must be received by the UNMIS Liquidation Team by noon local time on Wednesday, 23 November 2011 in Juba. Bids must be accompanied by a 10% bid bond of the bid total amount.
Note that the bid bond is subject to full or partial forfeiture if the contractor fails to collect the properties awarded.

7. UNMIS ULT expects to notify the successful and un-successful bidders on 25 November 2011 by all available means such as e-mail, fax and voice telephone.

8. Successful bidders must pay the remainder of the bid price to UNMIS ULT, and pay duty and taxes to Customs Officers, prior to removing their items. All items must be removed from the UNMISS yard by 1600 on 10th December 2011. Unsuccessful bidders will have their bid bonds returned promptly.

9. Additional information is contained in Instructions to Bidders package which may be obtained in UNMIS ULT HQs on the days of the viewing. The package may also be obtained in advance by person or e-mail from:
