BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING

Invitation to bid for provision of consultancy services to produce and edit
publications to gender mainstreaming in four public universities.

Procurement Reference number MUK/SVCS/2011/2012/00116

1. Makerere University has received funds from Sida-
SAREC, to be used for acquisition of competent
firm to provide Consultancy Services to produce
and edit Publications for the Gender Mainstreaming
in the four Public Universities (Busitema, Gulu,
Kyambogo and Mbarara).

2. Makerere University invites sealed bids / proposals from
eligible bidders for the provision of the above mentioned
consultancy services.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Open
Domestic bidding procedures contained in the
Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and
Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and are open to all
bidders from eligible source countries..

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from Procurement and Disposal unit and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below in No.
7(a) from 8:00am-5:00pm.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may
be purchased by interested bidders on the submission
of a written application to the address given below in No.
7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of One
hundred thousand Shillings (Shs.100,000=).
The method of payment will be either a bank draft or
direct banking on Makerere University Council a/c
No.0140018638901 of Stanbic Bank-Makerere
University Branch.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address given below in No.
7(c) at or before Friday 9th December, 2011 at 10:00am.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address given below in No. 7(d) at 10:10
am. No liability will be accepted for late delivery.
