Minister Muyingo survives car accident

HIGHER Education Minister John Muyingo has Saturday morning been involved, but unhurt, in an accident that has left three other people injured at the Masaka-Mpigi junction.

HIGHER Education Minister John Muyingo has Saturday morning been involved, but unhurt, in an accident that has left three other people injured at the Masaka-Mpigi junction.

Confirmation that the minister has survived the accident with barely any injuries come from police sources at the scene.

The Highway Police officer at the scene Richard Pajob said that the accident occurred when a Toyota Corona registration number UAQ 018M rammed into the Muyingo's official vehicle of registration number UG 2102E which was heading to Masaka.

The minister was heading to Masaka to officiate at a teachers' function.

 Muyingo was able to continue his journey after acquiring another vehicle, while the three injured occupants of the Corona car have been rushed to Mpigi Hospital.
