USL Board Chairman, Kavuma Kabenge finally signed the memorandum of understanding on Friday and bowed down to all the requirements earlier put before USL Ltd by FUFA.

FUFA has therefore lifted its suspension of the USL.

Kabenge signed the document from NCS offices in Kampala Friday morning in the presence of the NCS General Secretary, Jasper Aligawesa, according to a press release from the soccer-governing body.

He has also submitted copies of the share certificates of all the sixteen Super Division clubs to the federation lawyers.

The memorandum of understanding does not recognize the earlier games played in contravention of the Fufa rules and officiated by un acceptable referees. All results from such games are therefore null and void.

USL Ltd has been tasked to serve a notice for the Annual General Assembly that will appoint Directors and make the necessary amendments in the Memorandum and Articles of Association. The assembly must come after 21 days of the issuance of the notice.

Fufa will be providing the referees to officiate the matches but with the rights to withdraw them if USL Ltd doesn’t maintain compliance of the agreed position.

Fufa CEO Edgar Watson and Council Luganda Alex signed on behalf of Fufa while KCC’s Mutenda was the second director to sign on behalf of USL. Bazirengedde Mohammed appended his signature on behalf of Bazirengedde and Co. Advocates, a legal firm that witnessed the exercise.
