A letter from the editor

There were no two ways around it, no questions and no debates. When a girl got married, she left her parents’ home and went to her husband’s home.

There were no two ways around it, no questions and no debates. When a girl got married, she left her parents’ home and went to her husband’s home.

But somewhere along the way things changed, young women got emancipated and ambitious to start making their own money and this indeed many girls have succeeded. With their own money, many girls are intent on enjoying their single life.

And one of the things that come with this season is renting her own place, set the décor to match her taste and personality. Besides, girls love to have beautiful spaces to retire after a long day at work or to entertain friends. On the other side of the coin, many independent women are building their own houses before getting into a long-term commitment.

Now when Mr. Right comes along, the idea of leaving her well-decorated and well-furnished place, for the man’s plain home is turning many young women’s heads. In fact many of them have gone ahead to suggest that their men move into their homes. Our lead story covers the whys, whens, whats and even wheres of this hot potato issue for many couples.

In our style counsel, we give tips on how to use a scarf to turn that old mundane outfit into a stunner.

Have a wonderful week and remember to believe you have what it takes to excel in whatever you put your heart, mind and hands to.
