Traditional healers get tips on income
Traditional healers have been advised to start income-generating activities so as to earn extra money apart from what they get from their practice. The call was made by Faridah Naluwembe, the executive director of Bwanga Bwa Mirembe, an organisation of traditional healers. She was addressing traditional healers from Mityana district at Enro Hotel in Mityana town on Wednesday. Naluwembe said many healers were involved in criminal activities because they wanted to earn more money, which they may fail to get through the right channels.

Leaders told to train public on road signs
There is need for the police and local leaders to sensitise the public about the importance and use of zebra crossings, Masaka municipality mayor Godfrey Kayemba Afaayo has said. He said although there were zebra crossings in Masaka town, few drivers and pedestrians knew how to use them. Kayemba and Masaka LC5 chairperson Joseph Kalungi joined Masaka Rotary and Rotaract clubs to repaint the only two zebra crossings in Masaka town on Saturday. Kayemba was surprised that many bodaboda and taxi operators in Masaka were not trained to do their jobs.
