<b>All-Stars set up base in Semuto</b><br>SOCCER-The All-Stars Football Academy launched their new home in Semuto, Nakaseke district on Sunday with Kijaguzo and TLC winning the football and netball galas respectively.

SOCCER-The All-Stars Football Academy launched their new home in Semuto, Nakaseke district on Sunday with Kijaguzo and TLC winning the football and netball galas respectively. A Francis Sande lone strike gave Kijaguzo the win over TLC in the football final while the latter came top in netball having won more games in the six-team round robin event. The gala was graced by FUFA technical director Asuman Lubowa and Tom Colborne from Tackle-Africa, the financiers of the project.

O. Timers, United merge for league
SOCCER-Western region representatives in the 2011/12 FUFA Big season Old Timers Football Club has merged with former Super League side Mbarara United to form a new side Mbarara Old Timers. An official from the Mbarara based club revealed that the merger is due to financial constraints Old Timers as a sole club is facing. Old Timers had booked the sole slot from the region after winning the western region mini league held in Mbarara in June.


BOXING-Ugandan boxing promoter Quraish Walusimbi is to stage the first ever professional contest in Kigali, Rwanda next month. Walusimbi, who runs the Friends International Boxing Promotions, said the decision to export the sport to Rwanda is aimed at promoting prize fighting in the region. “I am sure it will be a big success considering the good response we have had from Kigali. We are also exploring the way of going to Juba,” Walusimbi revealed.
