Residents of Bugembe town council in Jinja district are stuck with heaps of garbage, despite the fact that garbage collection is considered an essential service during the lockdown.
Similar scenes have been seen at the Bugembe market, where vendors have opted to heap garbage on the Jinja-Tororo- Busia highway.
This is the main road that connects Uganda to Kenya.
