The Police surgeon has examined Stella Nandaula who was allegedly tortured by Brian White.

This follows a video clip that recently made rounds on social media forcing police to investigate the matter.

The spokesperson Police CID, Charles Twiine said they took the woman to the police surgeon for first aid and find any possible evidence that may require medical experts.

Last week UGANET, a human rights organisation evacuated Nandaula from Brian White's home.

On Saturday UGANET, in company of former minister Miria Matembe handed over Nandaula to police in the presence of her mother and brother.

Twiine, however, said: "We were unable to cross examine her because she looked weak and psychologically disturbed. We have postponed the interview until she is in a normal state of mind," he said.

He said the lady was taken to a police shelter where she will access doctors, psychologists and other people who will be of help to her.

The executive director of UGANET Dora Kiconco said: "We totally believe that no woman should go through any form of pain, torture and violence as we witnessed in the video. When we saw it, we took it upon ourselves to reach out to the victim. We worked tirelessly and we are glad that finally the matter is being handled by police,''

Kiconco promised to provide any support that the family of the alleged tortured woman will require.

Matembe said at first police sent the girl for medical examination at Mulago National Referral Hospital but the doctor said she was not in position to be examined her because she was traumatized.
