At home, I wash hands regularly and I wear a mask when I am going to the shops. I do not move away from home because I want to follow the presidential directives.

Western Uganda's nine-year-old Ann Treasure Murungi and her mother, Emily Mwebaze, have joined the campaign to raise awareness and fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The song is titled Twerinde Coronavirus.

How did you come up with this song?

It was not me but mum who wrote the song. The song was in Runyankole so I asked her to include English lines. Actually, mum had refused me to take part in this song, but her producer encouraged her to let me sing.

Who wrote the lines for you?

I wrote the lines and mum perfected them

How do you feel after releasing a song?

I am so excited. I feel I am a star. People who have listened to me sing have encouraged me.
