PHYSICAL EXERCISE  CORONAVIRUS

The police spokesperson Fred Enanga says people running in large numbers along roads risk contracting the coronavirus because they do not observe the recommended social distance of 4 meters.

Enanga advises people to do physical exercise in their compounds and directed police to disperse groups that do not adhere to the guidelines.

Since the lockdown started residents have decided to use their free time to keep fit by jogging in their neighbourhood. However, they have been growing concerns about the number of people on the roads. The President recently advised against groups of more than five people.

Minister of Information and communications technology, Judith Nalule Nabakooba also cautioned the public against jogging in large groups. The minister said she had observed groups of people jogging along the by-pass and said this should stop.
