Last week, Mutebi gave several youngsters their full senior debut.

Despite the inconsistent performances this season, KCCA FC coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has vowed to continue fielding academy players.

"We have a responsibility to give new talent a chance, just like it has been over the years, and nothing beats ushering in talent that knows the philosophy of the club. We shall keep giving a chance to some of the players from our development side," Mutei said.

"Just like we did with Julius Poloto, Allan Okello, Herbert Achai,Peter Magambo, Sadat Anaku, Mustafa Kizza, and others, we shall continue to do so."

Last week during the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 when KCCA eliminated FUFA Big League side Doves, Mutebi gave youngster Juma Ibrahim his full senior debut, while another youngster Elvis Mwanje came as a substitute.

The duo also features for KCCA junior team in the FUFA Junior U-17 League.

"The boys that we have nurtured from our development side played well against Doves FC and it shows the amazing work the other coaches are doing with the junior team. We will keep giving them (soccer academy players) an opportunity to have them gain more experience when they are still young," Mutebi said.

Among other junior team players that made the match day squad against Doves FC but did not play are; Simon Mukisa (defender),Pius Sebulime (midfielder) and Jerome Otim (striker).
