KCCA soccer academy opened up a six point gap in the Treble group after edging Maroons 1-0 at Luzira grounds over the weekend.

Oscar Mawa, who is the current top scorer in the league with 16 goals scored the only goal that left the young Kasasiro boys on the top of the Treble group with 48 points,six above second placed BrightStars.

Buganda Royal Institute wins

Buganda Royal Institute started the second round of the National Beach Soccer League on a good note following their 9-2 victory against relegation threatened Kiringente over the weekend at Mutoola Beach Resort in Ntenjeru, Mukono district.

The victory saw Buganda extend their lead on the league summit to 28 points,six above defending champions and second placed St Lawrence. Peter Wasswa, Ronald Magwali, Paul Kato Swaibu Kawalya and Primo Kimera all scored for Buganda Royal, while Tony Kabugo and Moses Wafula were on target for Kiringente that remained bottom with two points from 10 games.
