Habib Buwembo, who challenged the victory of Lubaga South Member of Parliament, Kato Lubwama, and the case has not been determined has camped at the High Court in Kampala demanding that his case be concluded.

He says Lubwama has no academic qualifications and is not fit to be in Parliament. Buwembo contested against Kato Lubwama in the 2016 parliamentary elections, which he lost.

Buwembo says the constitution says electoral cases should be handled within six months after the elections, but his case has not been concluded in the last four years.

On Tuesday morning, Buwembo carried a mat and sheets and camped at the court.

He had carried a mattress, bed sheets, toilet paper, a mat, saying he would stay there until the Chief Justice meets him. He says there could have been corruption in his case, the reason it has dragged on for this long.

Court security alerted the Police personnel at Central Police Station, who came and whisked him away.  He was charged with unlawful assembly.
