Both title contenders KCCA and Vipers return to action aiming for nothing short of getting back to winning ways following disappointing results over the weekend.

At St Mary's Stadium in Kitende, Venoms head coach Fred Kajoba will host Maroons in a must-win game if they are to keep their title-winning hopes alive.

Kajoba left the Arena of Vision in Ndejje Luwero on Friday a disappointed man after a 3-1 defeat by URA, a result that raised questions about his tactics.

He, however, got some breathing space after his main challenger KCCA squandered a chance to close the gap on Vipers following their 1-1 draw with six-time champions Express on Saturday at Lugogo.

The Kitende based side will have themselves to blame for not picking up all the three points from Maroons, a side that has had a run of poor results. The run has put Douglas Bamweyana's future at Maroons in doubt as the team is battling relegation.

However, Vipers are still on top of the league with 50 points, four more than second-placed and defending champions KCCA who are on 46 points.

Meanwhile, at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo, Abdulla Mubiru welcomes KCCA in what would be best described as a Lugogo derby since both teams share stadium as their home ground.

KCCA just like the Venoms in Kitende, want to bury the Express 1-1 painful stalemate as they face relegation battlers Police. KCCA who willl miss the services of injured captain Charles Lukwago, Mike Mutyaba, Sunday Opio, Nicholas Kasozi, Musa Ramathan, and Simon Sserunkuma due to suspension and injuries, must watch out for Police's counter-attacks.

Mike Mutebi, the KCCA coach is optimistic that his side will bounce back to winning ways.

"The fight is still on until the last game of the season, we aim to win the remaining games. Anything can happen," Mutebi stated.

Police's Mubiru is equally confident his side has enough ammunition to stop KCCA and take three points.

"Focus is on winning our remaining games, we are in a dangerous position if you look at the number of points we have, but we are working hard to see that we win Wednesday's game and keep on fighting to stay in the league," Mubiru stated.

At Kakyeka Stadium, Brian Ssenyondo's Mbarara City take on BUL, a side that has is fresh from humbling SC Villa 2-1 at home at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.
